On Thursday we had the briefing to our year 2 Professional Practice module with Angus, and the notes I took in the session can be seen scanned in below.

Work experience in photography is something I've done very little of so far but I am so excited to start getting the ball rolling. As Angus said, the more people you contact and connect with now, the easier it will be to do so when you graduate.
It seems as though for this module you need to be extremely organised, whether its contacting the different people you want to work with or planning your CV and introductions. The first task we have to complete is a statement of intent - describing what area of industry you want to end up in around 350 words.
(Statement of intent:)
Throughout the lecture Angus gave us so many different resources for keeping up with the photography world such as Campaign Magazine, editorialphoto.com, Archive Advertising etc which I want to put to good use. Other helpful websites he mentioned were BAPLA (a stock agency) and aop.org (a site where photographers are listed in genre, giving you the ease of searching to your interests).
Despite the overall eagerness to learn about this module I found this first lecture pretty lengthy and info filled. However I think Angus is going to touch on many of these subjects in further detail, he was just outlining a lot of the brief and content of lectures in today's session.
