20) Introduction to Mamiya RZ and 7ii, Kathy Foote - 20/10/17

Today we had another camera workshop, this time focusing on the Mamiya RZ and 7ii, which are both medium format cameras. My notes from the session can be seen below.

Overall I feel the workshop was quite rushed, and this meant we didn't have a chance to even try the cameras out for ourselves. I find I learn a lot easier when there's a 'hands on' workshop, and I feel this would have been beneficial because they seem like quite complicated cameras. However I don't really have any interest in using the cameras, partially because they're medium format (which I find really difficult) and as well as that they just don't seem very user friendly and I feel like I'd make a lot of stupid mistakes (like leaving the lens cap on while taking a photo). Nevertheless it was good to see some different cameras, giving me some more variety if I ever want to shoot on a different camera.
