45) Name ideas for my zine - 6/12/17

This blogpost is dedicated to my thought on name ideas for my zine. To get the ball rolling I decided to look up some synonyms for happiness, considering this is what my project is about. The mindmap below displays some thoughts I had for names.

I thought of some simple and straightforward names to start with, such as 'happy', 'fun' but I thought these were too basic. I then went on to look at phrases, for instance 'laugh a minute' which I liked. I then found some more obscure names such as 'peachy', 'rapt' and 'zing' - and overall I think I prefer the more obscure names.

I decided to look deeper into these words at the meanings behind them to find out which would best fit the title for my project. The definitions for each word can be seen below.

Out of all the definitions I think the word that best describes my project is 'rapt', because it means you are completely fascinated or absorbed by what one is seeing or hearing - and I think this fits the way I want my images to be viewed. My happiness comes from appreciating my surroundings and the whole process of taking images in the first place, so I think 'rapt' fits really well with this idea.

Now I've thought of the title of my zine, I can move on to start planning my front cover page / title page!
