44) Mock-up zine - 5/12/17

After my tutorial with Liz and Nick I decided to make a quick mock up zine so I could see how the layout we chose flowed and how it looked on paper. My scans of the mock-up book can be seen below.

After putting all the images in that I wanted as well as a dedicated title page, I realised I didn't have enough pages to make the book (because the final amount of pages needs to fit into a multiple of 4), so I had to think about whether to take images out or add more. Because I've got really attached to the layout of my photographs so far, I decided to add an image - it being the Dolce & Gabbana fridge image. Below is my amended layout for the mock-up zine with the new image in, and the images in the series which are either side of it.

I'm really pleased I made the mock-up because it allowed me to fix the mistakes I otherwise would have found in the InDesign stage of editing, and this way it complicates things less. For my next steps its onto soft-proofing, colour grading and making any last final edits to my images, and then making the layout on InDesign!
