On Monday we had crossover tutorials for our Creative Interactions module, and I decided to see Shawn. My notes from the tutorial can be seen below.

I explained how my project had taken a bit of a backseat due to the other modules we have to hand in first, so my work had slowed down a bit.
He gave me lots of pointers which I was really pleased about because I feel like I’ve got to a bit of a dead end within the project. For instance he said to aid storytelling I need to speak to the individuals more, and he also pointed out the typology he could see in the images I already shot and suggested this as a way of shooting for the future. For instance having one shot of the side of the caravan, one of the front and back, and a portrait of the individual living there to accompany it.
He also underlined I should look more around the area of Greenbank, going to speak to the priest at the church nearby, and look at the houses closest to the vans to show a sense of proximity.
Shawn also gave me various readings relating to the project which will hopefully inform my project further and I’m looking forward to reading.
Overall I’m so glad I had a tutorial as I feel like I’m looking at my project with fresh eyes, having new ideas to develop the project further and being able to strengthen the parts I already like.
